Groups C and D will be decided today with
four games that will be played on later this evening

training session ahead of their UEFA EURO 2016 Group C match against Northern
Ireland
From group C, Ukraine will play against Poland, while the Germans will
face Northern Ireland. Both matches will be played at 6 p.m.
Group D matches will be played at 9 p.m. when
Czech Republic will face Turkey, whereas Croatia will face Spain.
UKRAINE VS POLAND
Ukraine will come into this match looking
for their first points in the competition after losing to Germany and Northern
Ireland. On the other hand, Poland will have high hopes after holding Germany
to a 0-0 draw in their last encounter.
These two teams played against each other
seven times. Ukraine won three matches, while Poland won two. The remaining two
matches ended up in a draw.
This match will be officiated by Svein
Oddvar Moen from Norway.
GERMANY VS NORTHERN IRELAND
The world champions will start this match as
favourites; however, they should be on their guard since the Irish showed that
they can produce good performances as well. In fact, they will be coming from a
surprising 2-0 win over Ukraine.
These two teams played against each other on 14 different occasions. The
Germans triumphed in eight of them, while Northern Ireland grabbed two wins.
The other four matches ended up in a draw.
This match will be controlled by Clément
Turpin from France.
CZECH REPUBLIC VS TURKEY
Czech Republic will have high hopes after
holding Croatia to a 2-2 draw. On the contrary, Turkey suffered a heavy 3-0
defeat against Spain in their last encounter.
This is not the first time that these two
teams will be playing against each other since they faced each other in
nineteen different encounters. The Czech’s won twelve matches, while Turkey won
two. Three matches ended up in a draw. The referee of this match will be William
Collum from Scotland.
CROATIA VS SPAIN
This should be the most interesting game of
the day. Croatia who are expecting some sanctions from Uefa after their fans
behaviour will face the holders of this tournament. With at least a point,
Croatia will go through to the last sixteen, while Spain are already qualified,
but will definitely be doing their utmost to end up as group winners.
These two teams played only five matches
against each other. Spain won three, while Croatia won one. The other match
ended up in a draw.
