WYCLEF TO RELEASE J’OVERT EP SEPTEMBER 30, FULL LENGTH PROJECT CARNIVAL III EXPECTED TO HIT STORES NEXT SUMMER

Fugees alum and proud Haiti representative Wyclef Jean is currently gearing up top release a new EP September 30 entitled J’overt.

The soon to be released EP finds the inspiration in its name from the official start of Carnival in the eastern Carribean.

“Every day when I wake up, I go into the studio and record,” Wyclef told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “There’s always a guitar and a piano nearby. I’m always writing, that’s my survival. I don’t go to a therapist. My therapy is when I pick up my guitar and sing.””

Along with Jean’s latest single “Hendrix,” the crooner has dropped a Spanglish version of the track “Hendrix (Spanglish Remix)”  along with the track “My Girl,”leading up to the release of his J’ouvert EP.

“This speaks to the neighborhood I grew up in and how it didn’t look like much,” Wyclef said of “Hendrix” which features 18-year-old newcomer, Farina.

“The devil, or the streets, offered drugs and cartel and I chose music,” Wyclef continued. “Some homies chose the NBA, or we would see people like Shaq who are from Newark and see how they made it out the danger zone.”

Wyclef is also expected to drop the album Carnival III: Road To Clerification next summer, with features expected from Afrojack, Avicii, and Emeli Sande.

TINY DEALS WITH RUMORS THAT T.I. WAS ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT WITH A PROSTITUTE IN ATLANTA.

Sources have revealed that there is definite trouble in the Family Hustle’s Atlanta paradise. Tiny recently caught wind of an alleged rendezvous between T.I. and an alleged prostitute.

Said prostitute is a former member of Miami’s infamous prostitution ring, Taz’s Angels. Tip apparently slipped and got “caught up,” as the two were allegedly spotted creeping in an upscale hotel in Atlanta. Apparently, a ruckus at the hotel’s lobby caused a scene and ultimately exposed T.I.’s exploits with the woman. The altercation in the hotel went down about a week prior to T.I. and Tameka going on vacation together with their children.

Furthermore, a loose-lipped hotel employee (who prefers to remain anonymous) spilled the beans to media blogger Sandra Rose. It turns out, the alleged escort/model/prostitute in question is Analicia Chaves, aka Ana Montana who also served as one of the video models in T.I.’s “Dope” music video. The hotel employee allegedly has receipts that show T.I. was a registered guest at the posh hotel under his full government name and his guest, Ana Montana was added to T.I.’s stay as a someone who had 24/7 access to his room.

NICKI MINAJ WINS HER FIRST MILLION-SELLING SINGLE IN THE UK.

Pop open the Myx Fusions Moscato, because Nicki Minaj has plenty to celebrate today.

The rapper has just scored her first million-selling single in the UK, with her 2012 hit 'Starships' finally passing the huge sales milestone.

It becomes the 166th single to sell over a million copies in the UK since records began.

The track - produced by Lady Gaga collaborator RedOne - was the lead single for Minaj's second studio album Pink Friday.

 

SUGE KNIGHT SUES CHRIS BROWN FOR 2014 PARTY IN WHICH HE WAS SHOT SEVEN TIMES.

Former rap music mogul Suge Knight has a few choice words for Chris Brown: See you in court.
The incarcerated Suge sued the singer and the owners of popular Los Angeles nightclub 1 OAK on June 27, claiming the venue didn't have adequate security during a 2014 party hosted by Chris, a party in which Suge was shot seven times by an armed man.

Suge, who certainly has a long track record with the law, survived but has said he still suffers from complications from the night, including a blood clot.

The New York Post was first to report the news of the lawsuit.
The 2014 incident, which occurred a day before the VMA awards, severely affected Suge's psyche, the lawsuit claims, and it was a factor in Suge's accident in which he ran over two men, killing one. His attorney said the nightclub shooting scared him.

He is in jail awaiting trial on murder charges for that fatal hit and run. He has said the whole thing was a set up and he was simply fleeing attackers.

"Mr. Knight was still extremely frail from his gunshot injuries less than five months earlier," Suge's attorney said. "When the facts are finally revealed in this case, we're certain it will be apparent that our client was simply trying to flee for his life."

The new lawsuit asked that the accused parties pay for Suge's medical expenses.

In the paperwork, it contends that there is a correlation of violence and parties hosted by Chris, and that should have been taken into account. It also claims that the singer has gang ties.


Chris was never a suspect in the shooting and was never investigated.

"As a result of the negligence of the defendants, one or more unknown individuals were allowed access to the event with weapons, including firearms," the lawsuit says. "As a foreseeable result, gunshots were fired by those admitted into the event and (Knight) was shot and seriously injured."

This type of lawsuit isn't exactly uncharted water for Suge. In 2005, he was shot in Miami at a Kanye West-hosted party. He sued Kanye for having inadequate security, but a judge ruled for Yeezy.

50 CENT TALKS DONALD TRUMP REPEATEDLY FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY

Some fans of 50 Cent were shocked when they found out the rapper/actor/mogul filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015. 50 had reportedly amassed a net worth over $150 million, but a couple of legal losses left the G-Unit leader more than $36 million in debt.

Of course, 50 is not the first person to use the Bankruptcy Code to help alleviate financial hardships. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s companies have filed for bankruptcy at least six times.

The Daily Beast spoke to 50 about Trump’s tendency to bankrupt his businesses. He even offered some advice to The Donald.

“[Trump] knows about it. He’s done it four times!” said 50 Cent. “Donald Trump… You know, what’s interesting is the court system doesn’t know the difference between what you can say in entertainment, and what you say under oath, so you have to be really careful with what you say.”

50 admitted the billionaire real estate magnate is causing him to like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even more. Some of Trump’s controversial rhetoric and policy positions have many other potential voters turned off awell (70% of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Donald Trump).

However, 50 believes Trump will come out a winner in the long run, even if he does not make it to the White House.

“He’s someone who could potentially run America, so he’s already paid himself,” stated 50. “You know how much they’ll pay Trump to do public speaking, whether he becomes the president or not? It’s already worth it!”

As for 50 Cent’s own monetary situation, he insisted his bank account is not hurting at the moment.

“My money? I have a lot of money,” declares the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album creator.

DRAKE BECOMES FIRST MALE ARTIST IN 16 YEARS TO LEAD ALBUM CHART FOR 7 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS

Drake continues to rule the Billboard 200. The Toronto performer’s Views has led the album chart for seven straight weeks.

Eminem was the last male artist to pull off that many consecutive weeks in the top spot. Sixteen years ago, The Marshall Mathers LP sat at #1 on the Billboard 200 for 8 weeks in a row.

Unlike Em’s classic 2000 project, Drake has the advantage of having streaming totals added into his run in 2016. Views was actually outsold by Nick Jonas’ Last Year Was Complicated.

The former Jonas Brothers member pushed 47,000 traditional album sales of his latest collection, while Drake moved another 27,000 copies.

However, Views earned 121,000 sales plus streaming units. That was enough to surpass Last Year Was Complicated total of 66,000 equivalent album units.

Adele’s 25 also spent seven straight weeks at number one in 2015-2016. The remained at the pinnacle of the Billboard 200 for a total of 10 nonconsecutive weeks.

Snoop Dogg says that he’s executed with his beef with Iggy Azalea after speaking together with her mentor, T.I.

“Boys and girls, I just got off the phone with my homeboy Tip, the King of Atlanta and it’s officially over,” Snoop Dogg says in a video he posted on his Instagram account.

“No more bad talk. I apologize. Yeah. I apologize. I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.”

 

 

On Sunday (October 12), Snoop Dogg posted a photograph making enjoyable of Iggy Azalea’s look on Instagram.

The picture exhibits a person and with the caption: “Iggy Azalea No Make Up.”

Azalea responded with a collection of tweets which have since been deleted from her timeline.

Biography of Diamond Platnumz

Nasibu Abdul Juma (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz (or simply Diamond), is a Bongo Flava recording artist and singer from Tanzania.

He officially started his music career in 2006 but things took a better turn for him in 2009 when he met Msafiri Peter aka Papaa Misifa who agreed to provide financial support in nurturing Diamond’s talent. Together they released Diamond's first single 'Nenda Kamwambie'. Diamond is best known for his hit song 'Number One' which earned him a nomination at the BET Awards. On 3 May 2014, Diamond Platnumz set a new record at the Tanzania Music Awards by winning 7 awards, including Best Male Writer, Best Male Artist, Best Song Writer and Best Male Entertainer of the Year. The previous record was set by 20%, a recording artist who walked away with 5 awards at the 2011 Tanzania Music Awards. Prior to 20%'s accomplishments, Diamond held the record for winning 3 awards at the 2010 Tanzania music awards.

Diamond is said to have won more than 15 awards at Tanzania Music Awards ceremonies held between 2010 and 2014. In 2015 the singer also emerged victor in the Worldwide Act: Africa/India category at the MTV Europe Music Awards that were held in Milan. He was a top winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held in Nigeria in November 2015.
