TICKETS FOR KANYE WEST’S THE LIFE OF PABLO TOUR ARE SELLING LIKE CRAZY.

Kanye West’s first arena tour in three years is off to a great start, according to representatives for the Chicago superstar.

Just last week, Kanye announced that his “Saint Pablo Tour” will kick off August 25th in Indianapolis and wind down in Las Vegas on October 29th.

Yeezy’s two shows in New York at Madison Square Garden on September 5th and 6th have already sold out. The same goes for his October 7th date at the The United Center in Chicago as well as the stop at the Allstate Arena in his hometown on October 8th.

All three of his shows at The Los Angeles Forum in late October have sold out, but Kanye has added a fourth date in Los Angeles at The Forum on November 1st.

YOUNG THUG, T.I. & MORE SET TO PERFORM AT FIRST ANNUAL OUTTA THIS WORLD CONCERT

UIG Entertainment and music executive John Monopoly will be holding their first annual “Outta This World” concert in Houston this August.

The event will feature heavyweights in the Hip-Hop world such as Young Thug, T.I., Fetty Wap, Bun B, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $, and Metro Boomin.

“Houston is at the forefront of art and culture. Time for a festival that reflects that,” Hip-Hop legend and Houston representative Bun B told AllHipHop.com in a statement.

A turnout of more than 15,000 is anticipated for the new event, which would make it the largest independent Hip-Hop festival to ever take place in the city of Houston.

The “Outta This World” concert will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

DID 50 CENT GET BOOED OFF STAGE IN ATLANTA?

Apparently Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash was not the right stage for 50 Cent. The annual summer concert took place in Atlanta over the weekend, and concert goers are saying 50 Cent was booed off the stage.

Apparently 50 was a late addition to the show, he was trying to perform new material, and the crowd just wasn’t feeling it especially with this year’s “so Atlanta” line up. Young Buck said you would have to be a “real n-gga” to like G-Unit in 2016. We guess so.

 Some are saying 50 didn’t necessarily get booed, but fans did boo in between set changes. Apparently 50 and other artists experienced sound issues as well. Is 50 Cent in denial about where he is musically in the game, or is ATL only receptive to ATL?

Nicki Minaj Cried Inside Court As Judge Sentences Meek Mill to House Arrest during feb 2016.

According to sources who was inside a Philadelphia courtroom where Robert Williams professionally known as Meek Mill pleaded with a judge not to send him back to prison for violating the terms of his parole. The courtroom was packed with Williams’s family, friends and girlfriend Nicki Minaj. Williams violated the terms of his probation when he failed to inform the court that he was traveling out of town for work.

If there was any doubt that the judge in his case was going to go light on him that didn’t appear to be the cause because he will be required to remain under house arrest for 90 days and wear an ankle monitor and not release any music commercially or even release a mixtape because in doing so he would be in violation of his probation and likely would be sent to prison.

Mill will have to start serving his house arrest on March 1 and will only be allowed to leave his home to feed the homeless.

 

Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley during Friday 2016 ordered Mill to serve 90 days on house arrest, effective March 1, for violating the terms of his parole in a 2009 drug and gun case. Meek Mill stated to the judge that his busy schedule was the reason why he had violated and while he was facing jail time, he thanked the judge for believing in him and hoped she would give him a second chance. Our sources stated that Nicki Minaj broke down in tears while she was watching the rapper plead for leniency.

 

“I just want to ask you for a chance to turn that corner and be a changed man,” he said. “You said you saw something in me … I want to prove you right. I believe I can be the bright star you intended me to be.”

 

 

Prosecutors described violations that include unapproved travel to New York for a benefit concert and efforts to join Minaj in various cities. They also said he turned in cold water instead of urine for a drug test, making the judge question if a prior problem with painkillers was at issue.

 

Minaj told the judge in December that she was trying to help her boyfriend become more organized and responsible. They have been frequently been seated courtside at the Philadelphia 76ers games for the past two months, since Brinkley ordered Mill not to leave the Philadelphia area.

Minaj did not testify Friday. At one point during the judge’s remarks, she appeared to have been crying.

Joe Budden called Nicki Minaj stupid because she likes stupid n-ggas like Meek Mill. Ouch. Nicki Minaj responded to some of Joe Budden’s previous comments when she suggested that he have fun with his little podcast. Joe accused Nicki of trying to be slick, and he said Nicki sounded real stupid.

“I know she’s stupid ’cause she likes stupid n-ggas because Meek is stupid,” said Budden.

A twit pic of Lil’ Wayne and “Princess Saralyn”, alleged groupie of the YMCMB rapper, leaked out yesterday. And before we knew it, the photo of the two appearing to be in a hotel room together, with Lil’ Wayne sound asleep in his draws, was all over the place.

 And as expected, the rumors started with the quickness, one of the main ones claiming that “Princess Saralyn” was not Lil’ Wayne’s new girlfriend or love interest but more like his groupie or side chick instead.

 After catching wind of the gossip, “Princess Saralyn”, who goes by the Twitter name @saralynzdope, tweeted about the nonsense that she woke up to about her being one of Lil’ Wayne’s many groupies: Woke up 2 craziness”

Her Twitter rant continues with her saying that people should definitely get their facts straight before blasting her on their site, pinning her as a groupie:

The 50 Cent and baby mama drama continues. 50 Cent has been in the media for the last few days considering he was accused by his ex girlfriend and baby mama Daphne Joy of assaulting her and trashing her place. Although 50’s lawyer immediately dismissed the accusations, it’s as if the scandal has opened the door for even more bad press.

In fact, a series of nasty test messages sent from 50 to his 16-year-old son Marquise Jackson were published online, and in the messages 50 disowned the teenager.

Although 50 says he wasn’t talking to his son but knowingly talking to his baby mama Shaniqua Tompkins who he says was pretending to be the 16-year-old, he still took to his Twitter account to suggest he was not planning to leave a lot of his fortune to his son in the will.

It now appears his baby mama is now taking more shots at 50, as she decided to slam the rapper and accuse him of being an absentee father. Radar Online reports:

“For a long time, Shaniqua encouraged Marquise to have a relationship with his dad,” the source said, “but now she believe that Curtis must get counseling before he sees Marquise again. Any visits would have to be monitored, too.

“She’s willing to go a court to do that, if need be. But then again, does she really have to do that when he doesn’t seem to want to see him anyway?

“Curtis doesn’t have to be an active father, but you most definitely should not bring down your son mentally. He’s just a big bully and it’s got to stop.”

The source added, “Shaniqua doen’t care if he’s written her off because she left him. But as a parent, you can’t write off someone who’s your own blood. Anyone can procreate, but it’s how you love them when they’re a child that matters.”

Snoop Dogg's New Album Is Called "Cool Aid"

Snoop Dogg has released the cover art for Cool Aid, which is set to drop July 1.The Doggfather returns to his iconic illustrations with this cover. For Cool Aid, the Long Beach legend is shown selling colorful drinks to colorful customers. There are nods to Crip culture as well.

Snoop Dogg is paying homage to a popular favorite as his new album is called Cool Aid.The Doggfather went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about the project, which is slated for a July 1 release. He explains why the album is titled with a "C" and not a "K" like the drink.

"I'm cool, you know and I'm laid back," he says of the album title.The Long Beach legend denies any affiliation with Beyonce's LEMONADE album, which is also named after a drink.

Besides rebuilding his Doggy Style Records, Snoop Dogg is ready to release his next solo LP, more than 20 years after the release of the label's namesake Doggy Style. The new album is slated to drop July 1, according to an Instagram post and Facebook live session that Snoop Dogg hosted today (May 23).

The Long Beach legend released his "Late Nights" single on 4/20.For his new album, Snoop has been cooking with Just Blaze, who discussed the direction that they are working towards.

"Some of the stuff that I’ve been working on lately just kind of felt like an updated version of that old Death Row sound, kind of an updated G-Funk," he says. "I just started working on these tracks and they had a lot of those similar elements, just felt like newer versions of that feeling."

DoggyStyle and The Doggfather were both released on Death Row Records.

The Doggfather's last output was Bush, which was released last May. This project was exclusively produced by Pharrell.

Snoop Dogg is set to embark on "The High Road Tour" with Wiz Khalifa, which starts July 20, where people can probably expect him to perform some of his new tracks.

Now, Nas has linked up with FILA for a sneaker collection, again inspired by the Ghostbusters franchise.

The collection features three sneakers based on three lines from FILA's archive, including the FX-100, the T-1 Mid, and the Original Fitness.Ghostbusters was a staple childhood movie for me,” Nas said via press release, “one my mother took me to see, and I still love watching today with my son.”The sneakers are scheduled to drop in store and online on June 17.

Hip Hop is born at a birthday party in the Bronx 1973

Like any style of music, hip hop has roots in other forms, and its evolution was shaped by many different artists, but there’s a case to be made that it came to life precisely on this day in 1973, at a birthday party in the recreation room of an apartment building in the west Bronx, New York City. The location of that birthplace was 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, and the man who presided over that historic party was the birthday girl’s brother, Clive Campbell—better known to history as DJ Kool Herc, founding father of hip hop.

Born and raised to the age of 10 in Kingston, Jamaica, DJ Kool Herc began spinning records at parties and between sets his father’s band played while he was a teenager in the Bronx in the early 1970s. Herc often emulated the style of Jamaican “selectors” (DJs) by “toasting” (i.e., talking) over the records he spun, but his historical significance has nothing to do with rapping. Kool Herc’s contribution to hip hop was even more fundamental.

DJ Kool Herc’s signature innovation came from observing how the crowds would react to different parts of whatever record he happened to be playing: “I was noticing people used to wait for particular parts of the record to dance, maybe [to] do their specialty move.” Those moments tended to occur at the drum breaks—the moments in a record when the vocals and other instruments would drop out completely for a measure or two of pure rhythm. What Kool Herc decided to do was to use the two turntables in a typical DJ setup not as a way to make a smooth transition between two records, but as a way to switch back and forth repeatedly between two copies of the same record, extending the short drum break that the crowd most wanted to hear. He called his trick the Merry Go-Round. Today, it is known as the “break beat.”

By the summer of 1973, DJ Kool Herc had been using and refining his break-beat style for the better part of a year. His sister’s party on August 11, however, put him before his biggest crowd ever and with the most powerful sound system he’d ever worked. It was the success of that party that would begin a grassroots musical revolution, fully six years before the term “hip hop” even entered the popular vocabulary.
